Student Advisory Committee (SAC)
High School
The Student Advisory Committee (SAC) is a group of high school students who meet monthly with school district administration on issues related to students. SAC represents the more than 9,700 high school students in the Boulder Valley School District. It is a group that influences decisions directly impacting students, such as the suspension/expulsion policies, weighted grades, increasing credits given for school sports, and much more.

The purpose of SAC is to give all students a greater voice in the decisions that affect them and their education. SAC is a tool for students – it is a way to bring important issues up and enact change on district-wide student issues. The SAC ultimately improves communication between students, teachers, administration and the Superintendent.
SAC is organized with two to three students from every high school in the district to represent their school. Meetings are during the school day and take place four times throughout the school year. SAC meets at the Boulder Valley Education Center (6500 E. Arapahoe Road, Boulder, CO 80303).
